The tourist who has chosen as a destination for their holidays can visit the Maremma Natural Park of Maremma, it is located in the southern part of Tuscany, more precisely in the province of Grosseto . It stretches from Principina a Mare to the promontory of Talamone. Most of the park consists of the Mountains dell'Uccellina: a mountain range parallel to the coast, characterized by dense vegetation. For a pleasant vacation in the Natural Park we recommend booking a hotel or a bed and breakfast near Grosseto or Alberese.
The northern part of the Natural Park consists of wetlands, formed by the mouth of the river Ombrona. The coastal part instead extends for 20 km in a succession of beaches that start from the Bocca d'Ombrone to Cala di Forno.
The territory consists predominantly of cultivated land, areas used for grazing and large rocky areas, vast pine forests and sand dunes.
One of the most evocative of the Tuscan Maremma, the heart of the park consists of numerous hills that rise at irregular intervals from the plain, a land made up of fields, cliffs, coastal marshes, forests, pristine beaches and the beautiful shaded pine forests.
A real microcosm untouched, away from bars, hotels and marinas. The ideal place for the occasional hiker, or the botanist who studied the birds: the area is indeed a destination for many birds that stop during their migrations between Europe and North Africa.
